Caller ID/Calling Number Service

An arrangement that provide for the display of the incoming telephone number on a customer- provided device attached to the Customer’s access line or on a telephone or answering machine equipped with a built-in-display screen. Caller ID Service will forward the calling number from the appropriately equipped terminating Central Office to the Customer provided display device.  The Company will forward all telephone numbers subject to technical limitations. Caller ID/Calling Number and Name Service

An arrangement that provides for the display of an incoming telephone number and name associated with that telephone number on a Customer provided display device attached to the Customer’s Network Access Line.  Unless call blocking is activated, all calls origination from appropriately equipped Central Offices will be displayed including private listing numbers.  Back

Caller ID Blocking

Prevents Customer’s telephone number from being made available to the party you are calling. Simply dial *67 before dialing the number you wish to call. Available to all customers. Back

Caller ID–Call Waiting

You can stop worrying. Call Waiting lets you or anyone in your family talk as long as you like and calls will still get through.  When your phone is being used, a Call Waiting alert tone indicates another person is trying to call in.

You can put the first person on “hold,” while you answer the second incoming call, and you can switch back and forth between the two calls. Back

Selective Call Acceptance

An arrangement that allows the Customer to store a limited number of directory telephone numbers in a screening list for the purpose of accepting certain incoming calls. When Selective Call Acceptance is active, only those calls that originate from numbers that are contained in the screening list are accepted.  Telephone numbers not on the screening list are denied and are notified to that effect by an announcement. Selective Call Forwarding

An arrangement that allows the Customer to store a limited number of directory telephone numbers in screening lists for the purpose of forwarding certain incoming calls. Incoming calls that originate from telephones whose directory telephone numbers are contained in the screen list are forwarded.  All other calls are terminated normally. Back

 

Selective Call Rejection

Allows a Customer to block telephone calls from defined list preselected telephone numbers.  The caller hears an announcement that the called party is not receiving calls at this time. All other calls will be accepted. Back

 

Selective Distinctive Ringing

An arrangement that allows the Customer to program the telephones(s) to ring with a distinctive ringing pattern for a selected list of calling telephone numbers and with a normal ringing pattern for the other calling telephone numbers.  Normally up to three distinctive ringing patterns can be assigned to a Network Access Line.  This feature also provides a special Call Waiting arrangement for the selected list of calling telephone numbers.
