VOICE MAIL USER GUIDE NEXTGEN Broadband is pleased to provide Voice Mail Service – the automatic answering system for your phone. Voice Mail service makes your telephone work for you 24 hours a day. You need never miss another phone call as your Voice Mail Service will answer your phone calls and take a message if you do not answer the phone or if you are using the phone. New messages are indicated by the distinctive continuous "Stutter Dial Tone" heard when you pick up your telephone receiver. Steady, uninterrupted dial tone indicates no new message. It is a good idea to check your phone at least two times per day. The messages are important to both you and the sender. The system will prompt you with all of the instructions you need. This guide is to help you get started using the system. The Voice Mail System will: Answer your phone calls after approximately 4 rings or if the telephone line is in use. Allow access to your messages from a remote location. Save any new messages for up to 14 days. Save up to 15 messages. Allow outgoing message of up to 3 min. long. Allow incoming messages of up to 3 min. long Answer the phone with Call Waiting installed 10 seconds after the 2nd beep if you are on the line. To Get Started: 1. Pick up the phone and listen for dial tone. 2. Dial your voice mail telephone number (715-263-8888). 3. Enter your Mail Box Number (this is your 10 digit telephone number). 4. You will be asked for your password (the preset code is 9999#). 5. You will be asked to change your password. 6. You will now be at the main menu and may follow the instructions. To Simplify Your Voice Mail: 1. From the setup menu, select option number 4. 2. Enable Auto Login. From Your Home Phone: 1. Dial *48. This will take you directly to your Voice Mail messages. From a Remote Location: 1. Dial your home phone number. 2. When you hear your greeting hit the # key. 3. Enter your password followed by the # key. |
